Re-designed my Etsy Shop and my blog.  Decided not to limit myself to one thing.  Have been sewing my fingers off making things for my shop.  I have made Kindle Cases with the pattern from Elizabeth's Whimsie's.  More designs coming soon.  Enjoy.

Found this lovely tutorial from Elizabeth's Whimisies.  People stop stealing other's hard work and not giving credit where credit is due.  These covers are all over etsy without a single reference from the original creator.  SMH.  Anyway the case is so simple to make and exact measurements. See for yourself....

What The...?

Okay, okay...I started making clothes first.  That was my first sewing obsession.  I haven't bought a sewing pattern or touched anything clothes related since the summer.  I was just checking in on sewing pattern review to look at latest makes.  Ummmmm....I'm not impressed?  Ok so I thought maybe something good is coming out soon spring's around the corner.  Ummmmm.... nope nice try but no cookie.  This is what I've found....

Happy Friday the 13th!!!!!!!!

First -thank you to those for their words of encouragment! 
Second- No I'm not a devil worshipper.  13 is my lucky number well the numbers 1 and 3 are.  I was born on the 13th (Mother's Day baby) but was due the 31st.  My daughter was born on the 31st and so is my mom.  Oh and last but definitely NOT least, my son is born on the 13th.  Both son and daughter born the same month (4 years apart).  My dad was born on the 21st (2+1=3).  How's that?  Convinced the numbers are lucky to me?  ;-)

I've had some co-workers really digging my SewWhatPro.  I was testing out digitizing some fonts and one them thought it was cool and asked if I could make something for him with his name embroidered.  Not a problem especially since this co-worker is a really good friend of mine.  I have the perfect project for him.  Here's the font TYPIST.

But of course his name isn't DaMommie!  Lol!

I'm Down with Down's too!

While browsing the Internet I came across this... I can't remember what I was looking for but here see for yourself....

An ad featuring a child model with Down's Syndrome.  Which led me to this website: Noah's Dad.  Why you say is this important?  One all children are important and adorable.  At least they are to me and two Ponca is my baby brother (real name Tavon) who has Down's.  Tavon isn't a baby anymore but a grown man.  Earning a living!  Noah's Dad is a website documenting Noah's progress. I had to leave a comment for 2 reasons:  Noah is absolutely adorable.  See for yourself.  Two it brought memories of when Tavon was little and how things most babies naturally are harder to do when you have Down's.  If you saw Ponca (Tavon) now you would believe it!  So hats off to Target for saying but Not saying they are Down with Down's, Noah, Ponca and all with a specials needs relative and or friend.  xoxoxo  Love you Ponca!

So while I was going through my Scrap Republic book, I decided to make a quilt.  Well decided to start a quilt.

Did some embroidering too.  I drew these yes I did and digitized them too.  Now don't be too cruel.

Oh and I hung my embroidery thread too!  It's the little things for me.  :-)

Remembering!

The day is gone and night is here.  I busied myself all today so I wouldn't rememer but how could I forget?  Daddy I love you and miss you so very much!  Until we meet again in heaven.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is doing well the start of this new year.  So many did not see 2012 arrive so I pray I complain less and be grateful more.  With that being said....I've been in my room playing around still.  I have a new toy from my hubby...DaDaddy :-)

I know I should have used a plain color backing first.  But hey I'm still learning!  LOL!
