I'm Down with Down's too!

While browsing the Internet I came across this... I can't remember what I was looking for but here see for yourself....

An ad featuring a child model with Down's Syndrome.  Which led me to this website: Noah's Dad.  Why you say is this important?  One all children are important and adorable.  At least they are to me and two Ponca is my baby brother (real name Tavon) who has Down's.  Tavon isn't a baby anymore but a grown man.  Earning a living!  Noah's Dad is a website documenting Noah's progress. I had to leave a comment for 2 reasons:  Noah is absolutely adorable.  See for yourself.  Two it brought memories of when Tavon was little and how things most babies naturally are harder to do when you have Down's.  If you saw Ponca (Tavon) now you would believe it!  So hats off to Target for saying but Not saying they are Down with Down's, Noah, Ponca and all with a specials needs relative and or friend.  xoxoxo  Love you Ponca!

So while I was going through my Scrap Republic book, I decided to make a quilt.  Well decided to start a quilt.

Did some embroidering too.  I drew these yes I did and digitized them too.  Now don't be too cruel.

Oh and I hung my embroidery thread too!  It's the little things for me.  :-)

Remembering!

The day is gone and night is here.  I busied myself all today so I wouldn't rememer but how could I forget?  Daddy I love you and miss you so very much!  Until we meet again in heaven.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is doing well the start of this new year.  So many did not see 2012 arrive so I pray I complain less and be grateful more.  With that being said....I've been in my room playing around still.  I have a new toy from my hubby...DaDaddy :-)

I know I should have used a plain color backing first.  But hey I'm still learning!  LOL!

Today I celebrated my 18th wedding anniversary!  18 years!  Yep.  Truly a blessing!  Happy Anniversary DaDaddy!

Well embroidery wasn't the only thing I've been doing lately.  Noticed the better pictures?  Don't ask what kind of camera. That's my daughter's department.  I had a hard enough time trying to operate the blasted thing but anyways here you go..... Christmas gifts from the hubby and the kids....
